The Viking Valknut symbol represented Valhalla, Odin's great hall in Asgard. Odin selected the bravest fallen warriors to spend the afterlife there. In Valhalla, they will feast and fight until they will be called upon to fight alongside the gods at Ragnarok, the end of days.
