Scubapro was founded in the United States in 1963 and is known for its quality, durability, and reliable SCUBA products. As one of teh worlds leading innovators and suppliers of Scuba equipment and accessories Scuba Pro in the mid-1970s and into the 1980s offered a number of different watches bearing the Scubapro branding and seal of technical approval and design that met the requirement of their professional and military diver customer base.

 Admired by dive watch enthusiasts for their no-nonsense designs and superb construction, the Scubapro watches of the late 1970s and mid to late 1980s have a cult-like following today and are extremely collectible. These rarely come up for sale as they are coveted among the collector community.

The 40mm case paired with the chunky unidirectional bezel make this a no-nonsense tool watch which demonstrates why it was within the Scubapro technical equipment line up during the era of production. This specific dial is known as a "high visibility dial" and is also a somewhat rare variant within the reference range. The dial possesses orange tritium lume plots at the 12, 6 and 9 o'clock markers and the hands are also orange and filled with the same high contrast orange tritium lume which added to the extended visibility of the watch in low light conditions. The Scubapro 500 automatic was also a favorite watch among special operations teams and combat divers which also adds to the references desirability and cult-like following.

CASE & BRACELET

The case of this ScubaPro 500 is stunning and unpolished condition showing the original factory starburst finishing and case chamfers. The bezel is free from any scratches, and the orange tritium lume filled triangle at 12 o'clock remains fully intact. The watch retains the original ISOfrane rubber dive strap which remains in a fantastic and supple condition.

DIAL & HANDS

The dial and hands are in a remarkable condition much like the case and strap. The tritium lume on the dial remains intact and shows no lume loss or degradation when viewed under U.V. light. The distinctive and high contrast orange tritium filled hands also remain fully intact and sho no lume degradation.

ACCESSORIES 

The watch comes with the original ScubaPro 500 box. The watch is running at spec and is in perfect working condition, but extended service history is unknown.
