Whaler Sharks Prionace glauca are found worldwide in temperate and tropical deep ocean waters, they are epipelagic species found from the surface to over 300m deep. The average size is 1.5m to 2.5m long.
They feed mostly on small schooling fishes such as sardines, mackerel and many other bony fishes, they are sought for their game fishing fight upon capture.
The international shark attack file has recorded that Blue sharks are responsible for 14 unprovoked attacks on humans, 4 of which have been fatal.
